Hackathon · May 14, 2026 · That's a Wrap · Registration Closed
Escapism was Lynn-Rose College's hackathon. Six hours to take an idea in your head, this time a portfolio, and turn it into something real. Code it, design it, break it, fix it, ship it!
Registration is closed and the event has wrapped. What's below is a small archive of the day, new photos are incoming but have a quick look back at how it went.
Students showed up, picked their stack and just started building their portfolios. Six hours later there were finished things to show for it. A small archive of the day below.
The day pulled students out of their usual routines and into something different. Building, problem-solving, working together on things they actually cared about.
Not hypotheticals or slideshows. Actual projects. Games on Roblox, websites, etc. Students picked whatever language they knew (or wanted to learn) and ran with it.
Our hackathon is done for now. However, student projects from their classes will keep landing on the main page, that's where the building keeps happening.
To everyone who showed up, built something, and made it real, that's the whole point. Thank you!
Escapism was run by students with support from staff who believed in it. Here's who made the day happen.
